About Us:

Welcome to Pre-SOMA (Pre-Student Osteopathic Medical Association) at FIU! We're the first pre-med osteopathic chapter at FIU.

Mission:

Our goal is to promote and inform all pre-med students about osteopathic medicine. The D.O. (Doctor of Ostepathic Medicine) degree, along with the M.D. degree, is one of the two degrees conferred in the United States for the full practice of medicine. 

General Information:

As members, you'll be well informed about osteopathic medical education, be prepared for successful entrance to medical school, build a network consisting of pre-meds, medical students and D.O. physicians, be able to participate in volunteer activities and fundraisers that will benefit the underserved in our local community, and so much more.
